Talented 20 Program

The top 20% of each high school graduation class are recognized based on academic performance. They are guaranteed admission to one of the eleven state universities in Florida, but not necessarily the school of choice. Students must complete specific academic course work and college entrance tests by the end of their senior year. Students must

  • be enrolled in a Florida public high school and graduate with a standard diploma.
  • be ranked in the top 20% of their class after the posting of 7th semester grades (with validation of 8th semester ranking).
  • take the ACT or SAT prior to completing the 1st semester in college. No minimum score is required for Talented 20.
  • complete 18 college preparatory credits as specified in State Board of Education Rules.
