Assessment
The Testing Department administers the TABE, GED, Florida Ready to Work, and the CJBAT Assessments.
Payment accepted for testing are CASH or MONEY ORDER ONLY!
NO CREDIT CARDS, CHECKS OR DEBIT CARDS ACCEPTED.
YOU MUST PRE-REGISTER FOR ANY TEST YOU ARE INTERESTED IN TAKING.
To be enrolled at George Stone, you must complete the Test of Adult Basic Education (TABE). Generally, testing is available in the Assessment Center on Tuesdays at 7:45 a.m. and 12:45 p.m. and Fridays at 7:45 a.m. and requires pre-registration. Call 850-941-6200 ext 2160 to confirm dates and/or to pre-register.
TABE testing is $15, payable in cash or money order ONLY and is due at the time of testing. Students must bring a photo I.D.
The following prospective students are exempt from Assessment testing (official transcripts must be provided):
- Possess an Associate's degree or higher from an accredited institution.
- Currently serving as an active duty member of any branch of the United States Armed Services.
- Entered the 9th grade of a Florida public school during the 2003-2004 school year or beyond and earned a Florida standard high school diploma.
